We’re thrilled to have been voted Top Non-Profit/Charity Organization in the 2024 Community Choice Awards MetroWest presented by Local IQ and MetroWest Daily News. Each year year the Community Choice Awards recognizes businesses and organizations in the MetroWest area through the support of the community. Organizations are nominated by community members and the top five nominees in each category move to the voting round.
This is the first nomination for the Layla Lynn Bober Memorial Foundation. Kelly Bober, President of the Foundation shares, “Over the past 5 years, the Foundation and its supporters have worked hard to keep Layla’s memory alive and support our beneficiary organizations. This award acknowledges the strength of our community and we are thankful for their ongoing support.”
The Layla Lynn Bober Memorial Foundation was created in honor of Layla Lynn Bober of Framingham who died suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday January 27th 2019 at the age of 4. The Layla Lynn Bober Memorial Foundation’s mission is to support and advance the Framingham and MetroWest community organizations that Layla loved, and which supported the Bober family during her life and thereafter; to ensure each organization can thrive and continue on into the future in other children's and family's lives.
All donations to the foundation, and proceeds from events throughout the year, benefit five beneficiary organizations. Our fundraising efforts help to support initiatives unique to each organization. The foundation supports Circle of Friends Preschool and Children's Center, Framingham Youth Hockey, Rocket Cheer, Planet Gymnastics, and Annemarie's Dance Centre. Foundation support funds scholarships for participation, program supplies, equipment needs, and more.
