The Layla Lynn Bober Memorial Foundation is thrilled to introduce the newest member of our Board of Directors, Lucy O’Connor. Lucy is joining in the newly formed role of Fundraising Chair. As a member of the board, the Fundraising Chair oversees the development and implementation of fundraisers for the foundation. These include our annual golf tournament, Giving Tuesday campaign, and our birthday and anniversary fundraisers. We are excited to continue to develop our fundraising efforts with Lucy’s leadership.
Board President Kelly Bober shares, “we cannot wait to develop this new role into something great for the Foundation! We know Lucy’s passion for people and things you care about, plus her love for Layla, will make her successful at this role.”
A message from Lucy O’Connor:
“I am so excited to be joining the board for the Layla Lynn Bober Memorial Foundation. I met Kelly, and later baby Layla, through cheerleading at Framingham State. After graduating with a bachelors in math and a license in elementary education I pursued my M.Ed. in Mathematics Instruction and spent six years teaching in various positions and roles. In addition to teaching I have spent the last ten years coaching high school cheerleading. This past March I welcomed my first child and made the transition to part time coach and full time mom. I love both roles, but knew I needed more. When the opportunity to work with the Layla Lynn Bober Memorial Foundation arose I knew it was meant to be. My love for organization, event planning, and helping others make me thrilled to be taking on this role. I look forward to working with the board to plan excellent events to help support all of the organizations that mean the most to Layla.”

The Layla Lynn Bober Memorial Foundation is excited to announce that registration is now open for the second annual event on Monday, June 20, 2022. The tournament will take place at the historic Framingham Country Club. The 18-hole shotgun tournament includes snacks, golf, dinner, and post-golf raffle and social. Last year’s tournament was rained out, but all our attendees still made the day incredibly special and unforgettable. This year, we can’t wait to see everyone enjoy the full experience.
Participants can register as an individual golfer, as a foursome, or as an event sponsor. Details can be found on the golf tournament page.
Proceeds from the event benefit the foundation’s amazing beneficiary organizations. We look forward to seeing you on the course in June!
